February 22nd, 2026 Standing Firm Under Pressure: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego were chosen and elevated to positions of influence. As they advanced, the pressure increased for them to conform to the culture around them. Christians may be recognized, trusted, and even placed in leadership. However, promotion often brings pressure to compromise and adopt the world’s values When commanded to worship another god, they refused. They remained loyal to God, trusting Him completely. Even if He did not deliver them from the fire, they were determined to continue serving Him. It is not wrong for Christians to pursue success, leadership, or positions of power. The key is remembering who we were before those titles and remaining grounded in God’s standards.
